Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed staff, following individualized care plans.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding as appropriate.
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices; supervise and assist as needed.
- Observe resident conditions and report changes promptly to the supervising nurse; document care provided and outcomes.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment; assist with room care, linen changes, and basic vital checks as directed.
- Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols, including standard precautions and proper hand hygiene.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant license in New Hampshire
- Current CNA certification
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
- Ability to work night shifts in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Strong communication and documentation skills; able to work well with residents and a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (lifting, transferring, standing for extended periods)
- Completion of background check and health clearance as required
