Travel Radiology CT Tech Job
Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) – Radiology is available for a travel assignment in Sonora, California. The assignment begins May 18, 2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,022 to $2,170 with no guaranteed hours. Shift is 3x12-hour days. This position works in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting and is classified as Travel – Temporary Assignment.

Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures following physician orders and established protocols
- Confirm patient identity, assess safety and contraindications, explain the procedure, and ensure patient comfort
- Operate CT equipment, adjust parameters, and select protocols to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
- Administer contrast media as required and manage venipuncture in accordance with CA practices; monitor for adverse reactions
- Maintain equipment safety and sterile technique; assist with daily quality assurance checks and report any concerns
- Review acquired images for technical quality and communicate findings with radiologists; document in the electronic health record
Requirements
- Active California Radiologic Technologist license with ARRT CT certification (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT)) or ARRT Radiography certification (R.T. (R)(ARRT)) required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Fluoroscopy license in California required if operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Venipuncture certification preferred in California and in the operating room setting
- Advanced Certification in CT: Required in some assignments (e.g., OR and HI); Preferred in California
- Ability to work in a hospital-based, mid-shift schedule and to interpret and follow orders accurately
