Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for geriatric inpatients
- Coordinate and manage patient care; delegate tasks to the health care team as appropriate
- Administer medications and treatments per individualized care plans; monitor responses and adjust as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social services; participate in rounds and care conferences
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals to post-acute resources
- Maintain standards of nursing practice and ensure timely, accurate charting in the electronic medical record
Requirements
- Current RN license in California; graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 6 months of hire or transfer)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required within 6 months of hire or transfer)
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and every two years thereafter
- Two years of recent acute care RN experience and EPIC experience
