Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
- Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in patient care.
- Document accurately in patient records and maintain clear communication with the care team.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (registered nursing degree required).
- Med/Surg nursing experience; hospice/home health experience preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in a travel assignment.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; comfortable coordinating care across disciplines.
