- On-call and weekend coverage: 4–6 on-call shifts in a 4-week period; weekend coverage as scheduled
- Orientation and credentialing: 2-day orientation during the first week; credentialing items due within 72 hours of offer acceptance
Responsibilities
- Support interventional and diagnostic cath lab procedures, including left-heart and right-heart catheterizations, with and without biopsy as indicated
- Assist with structural heart cases (TAVR, Mitraclip; PFO/ASD repair; Watchman) and vascular procedures (peripheral run-offs; EVAR/TEVAR) in a busy lab environment
- Prepare, position, and monitor patients; maintain sterile technique; manage contrast media and imaging equipment; document procedures accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other technologists to ensure patient safety and efficient case flow; monitor hemodynamics and assist with device delivery as needed
- Support pre- and post-procedure care, including handoffs and post-procedure recovery documentation; ensure equipment readiness and inventory management
- Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as required, adhering to lab policies and safety protocols
Requirements
- Certifications: ARRT (R), RCVT, or RCIS; BLS and ACLS
- Experience: Cath Lab experience with interventional and diagnostic left heart caths; right heart caths (with or without biopsy); experience with structural and vascular cases; adult coronary experience required
- Credentialing readiness: CBC, DS, and relevant lab work completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Ability to work in a hospital Cath Lab environment in Kansas City, KS; capable of meeting on-call and weekend requirements
- Orientation: Willingness to participate in a 2-day orientation at assignment start
