Licensed Practical Nurse – Long-Term Care in Middletown, Rhode Island, United States. This is a travel assignment starting April 5, 2026 for 8 weeks with guaranteed hours. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including daily assessment and monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document administration accurately
- Monitor vital signs, assess changes in residents’ conditions, and report findings to the nursing team
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation and care plans; participate in care planning with an interdisciplinary team
- Respond to call lights promptly; support residents with activities of daily living and safety needs
- Uphold infection control standards and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
Requirements
- Active Rhode Island Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to work the stated shift pattern (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) and to cover alternate weekends as described; willingness to adjust for scheduling needs
- Strong assessment, clinical documentation, and communication skills
- Eligibility for a travel assignment and ability to commit to an 8-week contract
