Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to the nursing process and care standards
- Monitor patient status, interpret data, and adjust plans of care as needed
- Administer medications and therapies, assess responses, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case management
- Participate in discharge planning, provide patient and family education, and promote a safe, healing environment
- Document care in the electronic medical record and ensure accurate, timely communication among care team
- Delegate tasks appropriately and support nursing staff to maintain quality patient outcomes
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved vendor
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/acute care experience
- Education: BSN preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital ICU setting and participate in a day-shift schedule
