Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the ER scope and home hospice setting; adjust the plan of care as needed.
- Document care activities accurately and timely; ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
- If assigned as Float Pool, clock in to the unit being worked and follow unit-specific procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license to practice in California.
- Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts (3x12).
- Willingness to travel to the assignment and work in a home healthcare - hospice setting.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and ability to coordinate care across disciplines.
- Ability to supervise nursing staff and uphold standards of care in a fast-paced environment.
