Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs in the ER to support timely, safe care.
- Administer medications, monitor responses, and document procedures accurately.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion to anticipate and respond to changing patient conditions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Active RN license (California) or eligibility to practice per state requirements.
- BLS (American Heart Association) required; ACLS preferred.
- ER nursing experience recommended; travel ER experience is helpful.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in a 3x12 schedule.
- Eligibility for a 13-week travel assignment and to work in the listed location.
