Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and maintain a sterile field for surgical cases; anticipate instrument and supply needs for the team.
- Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to surgeons and staff during procedures; monitor counts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, and skin prep as directed; support patient safety and comfort.
- Handle specimens and label as required; contribute to accurate documentation and room turnover between cases.
- Clean, decontaminate, and prep equipment and rooms according to infection control standards; support efficient turnover of cases.
Requirements
- Current CST (NCCT) certification required; active or eligible candidates considered.
- Minimum 2 years of CST experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operative environment; comfortable serving in a travel assignment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique, instrument handling, and OR safety practices.
