Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Clearlake, CA. Start date 08/03/2026 for 9 weeks. 3x12 Night shifts with guaranteed 48 hours per week. Travel assignment in a Critical Access Hospital setting. This position is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

- Travel assignment in a Critical Access Hospital; Women’s Care Unit
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for women from childbearing through geriatric years, and care for newborns up to 28 days.
- Monitor labor progression, fetal status, administer medications, assist with deliveries, and provide postpartum and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nursery staff, anesthesia, lactation consultants, and case management to coordinate patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate documentation, monitor patient safety, respond to obstetric emergencies, and uphold privacy and HIPAA requirements.
- Support newborn stabilization and stabilization of mother-baby dyads as part of the Women’s Care Unit team.
- Promote patient and family education, adherence to infection control standards, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Current California RN license.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- At least two years of recent experience in labor and delivery or related neonatal/postpartum fields.
- BLS certification required; active certification prior to patient care and recertified every two years.
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification within six months of employment; recertified every two years.
- NRP and hospital conscious sedation certification required for RNs in the Women’s Care Unit; initial certification within six months of employment and recertification every two years.
- ACLS and STABLE are preferred.
- Ability to work in a high-acuity obstetric environment; strong newborn stabilization skills encouraged.
- Vaccination requirements apply as a condition of employment; exemptions may be considered. E-Verify participation is required.
- Must be comfortable with night shift scheduling (nights), and capable of meeting 48 hours per week.
