Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) in Hilo, Hawaii. Travel - Temporary Assignment starting 07/20/2026 for 15 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,833–$1,934 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Setting: hospital ER with 28 beds (including 4 trauma bays, 2 behavior health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms). Hawaii license required by start date. Arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health processing.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ER, including assessment, monitoring, and timely intervention for a variety of emergent conditions.
- Triage patients, prioritize care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitor responses, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record; ensure accurate handoffs during shift changes.
- Respond to code events, support trauma bays, and maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the ED stay.
Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license; current, unrestricted professional nursing practice status
- Hawaii state licensure must be in place by start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ER with 28 beds, including trauma and monitoring capabilities
- Willingness and ability to arrive the Thursday prior to the start date for employee health processing
- Preferred: additional certifications such as Procedural Sedation, TMCC, and EMPC
