Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for ED clients using the nursing process; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
- Monitor patient status; interpret findings, administer medications and IV therapies, and manage clinical interventions
- Respond to emergencies with rapid assessment, prioritization, and escalation as needed
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other members of the health care team; communicate plans and discharge instructions
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff as appropriate
- Document all care accurately in the electronic health record; uphold patient safety, privacy, and quality standards
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts (3×12)
- Willingness to participate in a 16-week travel assignment
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced ED environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
