Registered Nurse - ER | Emergency Room, Travel assignment in California, United States. Start date: 06/22/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range: $1,587 to $1,673 per week. Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid initial assessment and triage of ER patients; monitor ongoing patient status and respond to deterioration
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage fluid balance per physician orders; assist with procedures as directed
- Support physicians and the care team during emergent interventions; participate in code response and patient resuscitation efforts
- Document care, nursing assessments, treatments, and patient education in the electronic medical record
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to clinical pathways and hospital policies
- Communicate clearly with patients and families; assist with discharge planning, referrals, and follow-up instructions as appropriate
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Certification requirements: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke certification required
- NRP certification preferred
- CPI or TEAM certification required
- ER department experience and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
- Willingness to rotate days and weekends; no on-call required
- Minimum 5 years of ER experience preferred; will consider candidates with less experience based on patient volume and competencies
