Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical in Utica, New York. This travel assignment is a temporary, 13-week opening for an RN with Med/Surg expertise, starting 04/20/2026. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week with a weekly pay range of $2,156 to $2,317. Shift: overnight, 2x3 nights. The role is in an acute-care, med/surgical unit with adult patients. This is a travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. EMR system used: EPIC. Floating to other units is required as needed. RTO must be included at submission.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to adult medical/surgical patients on the unit
- Perform initial assessments, ongoing monitoring, and timely documentation of patient status
- Administer medications (including IV therapies) and monitor for adverse effects; manage IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans; respond to changes in patient condition
- Ensure safe discharges and appropriate admissions; support patient and family education
- Maintain accurate charting in the EMR (EPIC) and uphold infection control and patient safety standards; float to other units as needed
Requirements
- Active NY State Registered Nurse license; Nursys verification with active licenses
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience; travel experience required
- EMR experience: EPIC
- Ability to float to other units as needed; RTO must be included at submission
- Education: RN licensure with active status in good standing
