Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department in Utica, NY. Start date: 07/20/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment on the night shift. Weekly pay: $2,021–$2,091 per week with no guaranteed hours. This position is in a hospital-level ED. The unit serves newborns through geriatrics and handles high-acuity presentations such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Travel is required; candidates must reside at least 75 miles away from the assignment location to maintain the travel rate; those within 75 miles may be placed at local rate.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED for pediatric and adult patients, with capability to care for newborns and geriatrics
- Perform rapid assessment, triage, and initial stabilization; implement ED protocols for stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Administer medications and infusions (including vasopressors, anti-arrhythmics, sedatives, analgesics, anticoagulants) and monitor response; manage IVs, infusions, and telemetry as indicated
- Document accurately in the EPIC EMR, partner with physicians, nurses, respiratory staff, and ancillary teams to coordinate care
- Participate in procedures within ED scope and respond to codes; ensure patient safety, infection control, and discharge planning
Requirements
- Active NY RN license (Nursys verification) required
- 3+ years ED nursing experience with some pediatric exposure
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC; NIHSS required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Travel experience is required; candidates must reside at least 75 miles away from the assignment location (local rate available for within 75 miles)
- Ability to work nights in a fast-paced emergency environment
- RTO details must be included at time of submission
