Responsibilities
- Review utilization data and clinical information to determine appropriate level of care and payer authorization for services in a long-term care setting.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate discharge planning and patient transitions.
- Apply utilization management protocols to develop and adjust care plans while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality outcomes.
- Document assessments, decisions, and recommendations in the medical record; communicate with physicians, case managers, and payers as needed.
- Participate in routine case reviews and performance improvement activities; support ongoing payer and regulatory requirements.
- Provide on-call coverage as required: on-call one day per week and every 4th weekend.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in NH (or eligible to practice in New Hampshire)
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting
- Willingness and ability to work 40 hours per week for an 8-week assignment
- On-call availability: 1 day per week and every 4th weekend
- Experience or exposure to utilization management, case management, or related processes is preferred
