Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU, Helena, MT. Start date August 2, 2026. Travel assignment for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,957–$2,134, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour night shifts on a 12x3 rotation in a hospital setting, with frequent float to Medical-Surgical units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide ICU-level nursing care for adult patients, including respiratory failure, DKA, STEMI, overdose, detox, CHF, and complex post-operative cases.
- Manage ventilator support and non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) as indicated; monitor hemodynamics and perform necessary titrations.
- Administer and monitor infusions and medications (heparin, insulin, amiodarone drips) per protocol; respond to acute changes in patient status.
- Conduct continuous assessments, implement care plans, and document in Epic EMR; participate in timely handoffs and rounds with the care team.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and bedside staff to coordinate patient care and safety.
- Float to Medical-Surgical units as needed, maintaining competency across units and ensuring quality care during transitions.
Requirements
- Active Montana RN license or compact license; license must be verified.
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience; prior travel nursing experience required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NIHSS certification must be active/current on profile.
- Epic EMR experience; ability to work in a hospital environment with a focus on patient safety.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; willingness to float to Med-Surg units as needed.
- RTO/schedule requests must be submitted with the application; 200-mile radius rule applies.
