Travel Occupational Therapist Job
Colorado’s Thornton locale presents a compelling backdrop for your clinical work and personal life. Nestled along the Front Range, Thornton combines easy access to the vibrancy of Denver with proximity to the foothills and endless outdoor adventures. Picture mornings spent exploring the expansive trails, afternoons collaborating with colleagues in modern facilities, and weekends discovering the region’s alpine scenery, farmers markets, and craft coffee culture. And across the state, Colorado offers a spectrum of environments—from urban rehabilitation centers to rural clinics—giving you the chance to apply your occupational therapy skills in varied contexts while enjoying a high quality of life. The appeal of this location goes beyond amenities; it’s about the opportunity to impact functional independence in familiar community settings while embracing the energy and network that a thriving metropolitan area provides. If you’re drawn to the idea of expanding your professional footprint, this role also opens doors to opportunities in other locations across the U.S., delivering rich experiences and broadened clinical perspectives.
In this Occupational Therapist role, you’ll lead patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and drive progress toward meaningful daily goals. Your responsibilities will include evaluating sensory, motor, cognitive, and psychosocial factors that affect daily function, designing therapeutic activities that promote independence, and guiding adaptive equipment use and home modification strategies. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, nurses, and social workers—to coordinate care, communicate progress, and optimize discharge planning. The position offers the chance to advance your practice within occupational therapy specialties, whether you’re sharpening fine motor strategies for adults returning to work, refining upper‑extremity rehabilitation, supporting pediatric development, or leading fall prevention and safety initiatives in community settings. You’ll have the autonomy you need to tailor interventions to each patient’s environment, with the support of a robust framework that emphasizes evidence‑based practice and measurable outcomes. As you grow, there are clear pathways for clinical leadership, mentorship, and potential specialization, backed by ongoing professional development opportunities and access to the latest OT resources.
The package includes competitive compensation, a supportive onboarding experience, and comprehensive benefits designed to assist you in delivering exceptional care. You’ll be eligible for a signing bonus and housing assistance designed to ease the transition into a new city and clinical setting, helping you focus on patient care from day one. Your weekly pay ranges from $1,761 to $1,827, reflecting the value of your expertise and the complexity of the cases you’ll manage. The role also features extension opportunities that recognize your performance, foster continuity of care for patients, and enable you to deepen your professional impact over time. You’ll enjoy 24/7 support from a dedicated team traveling with you, ensuring you have reliable resources, guidance, and problem‑solving assistance whenever you need it. While traveling, you’ll benefit from proactive administrative and clinical support, helping you navigate housing, transportation, credentialing, and compliance with ease. Please note that the hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
The company behind this opportunity is built on a foundation of empowerment, inclusion, and respect for the clinicians who deliver patient‑centered care. You’ll find a culture that prioritizes career advancement, recognizes your expertise, and supports you with structured feedback, ongoing education stipends, and opportunities to mentor colleagues. A thriving work environment means collaboration, transparent communication, and a shared commitment to improving lives—both for patients and for the professionals who serve them. The organization values your contributions and your professional development as essential to delivering compassionate, competent care in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
If you’re ready to leverage your occupational therapy expertise in a location that blends natural beauty with professional opportunity, this role invites you to apply and join a team that honors your clinical judgment, your growth, and your dedication to enabling independence. Picture the impact you can make, the patients whose days you’ll brighten, and the communities you’ll help empower. Take this step to align your career with a supportive infrastructure, robust benefits, and the chance to extend your practice across diverse settings.
