Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to geriatric patients on a medical-surgical unit in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Document interventions and patient status in Epic EMR with accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with physicians and families
- Ensure patient safety with fall precautions, pain management, delirium screening, and appropriate discharge planning
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of California
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant RN experience in geriatric or medical-surgical care
- Epic EMR experience required
- ability to work night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and succeed in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Willingness to work in a short-term acute care hospital setting
