Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside patient care on the Med Surg unit, including assessment, ongoing monitoring, and timely documentation.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, manage IV therapy, and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Cerner electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the health care team to implement and adjust plans of care; participate in discharge planning as needed.
- Care for non-critical pediatric patients as required; float to the Skilled Nursing Department per assignment and facility needs.
- Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and documentation requirements during night shifts.
Requirements
- Cerner electronic health record experience is required
- ACLS certification is required
- PALS certification is required
- Ability to care for non-critical pediatric patients
- Willingness to float to the Skilled Nursing Department as assigned
- Availability to work night shifts (3x12-hour nights)
