Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to progressive care unit patients, including monitoring and reassessment of status
- Administer medications, including IV therapies, and manage related patient care tasks per physician orders
- Perform accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on care plans, discharge planning, and transition needs
- Monitor for clinical changes, escalate to the appropriate team members, and respond to codes or emergencies as trained
- Maintain safety and infection control practices, uphold patient advocacy, and support family education as appropriate
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant PCU/step-down experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) in an inpatient progressive care setting
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment location
- Education: RN degree with current licensure in Georgia
