Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse - ER travel assignment in Randolph, Vermont, United States. The assignment starts 08/10/2026 and runs for 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $1,980 to $2,067 per week. Shifts are 12-hour nights (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) on a 2x3 schedule. This is a hospital-based opportunity in the Emergency Department, designed for a traveling RN with ER experience.

Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessment and triage for ED presentations, determining acuity and prioritizing care.
- Administer medications, therapies, and procedures per physician orders; monitor patient responses and adjust as needed.
- Provide continuous patient surveillance with appropriate monitoring equipment; recognize early signs of deterioration and respond promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely, evidence-based care and to ensure patient safety.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record; maintain compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards.
- Educate patients and families, discharge planning, and coordination with ancillary services to support smooth transitions of care.
Requirements
- Active Vermont Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years ED/ER nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC certifications
- TNCC and/or CEN certification preferred but not required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) on a 2x3 schedule; ability to manage a patient load with ratios around 1:3–1:5
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced ED environment
