Responsibilities
- Perform specialized breast imaging examinations (mammography) using dedicated equipment to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Position patients, apply compression, and optimize imaging technique while maintaining radiation safety and comfort.
- Operate mammography equipment, complete required imaging views, and document procedures for radiologist review.
- Review prior studies when available and prepare exams for interpretation; ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain the procedure, address questions, and provide supportive care in a home-based setting.
- Maintain equipment and work area according to safety, infection control, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the broader care team to ensure imaging services integrate smoothly with ongoing hospice care plans.
