Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging across modalities as credentialed, including CT, X-ray, and fluoroscopy, delivering high-quality, clinically useful studies.
- Operate the Siemens 64 Somatom CT scanner and support radiography and fluoroscopy procedures within approved scope of practice.
- Verify orders, explain procedures to patients, obtain appropriate consent, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging processes.
- Administer contrast as required, monitor for adverse reactions, and adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Document procedures accurately in the radiology information system, label and archive images correctly, and communicate results to the referring team.
- Participate in on-call or after-hours coverage as assigned (including nights), collaborating with the radiology team to maintain workflow in a fast-paced short-term acute care setting.
Requirements
- Active California Radiologic Technologist license (state practice required).
- ARRT certification in Radiography (ARRT-R) required.
- Current certification in at least one modality and ability to perform duties in at least one additional advanced modality (e.g., CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, or PET) with relevant credentialing (e.g., ARRT-CT, ARRT-M, ARRT-MRI, ARRT-NMT, ARRT-S, RDMS, RDCS, ARRPCI variants, RTPET, etc.) required.
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- California licensure as a Radiologic Technologist; eligible to practice in the state.
- Three years of technical imaging experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a hospital radiology department environment, including night shifts and rotating call as scheduled.
