Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive dialysis nursing care to ESRD patients during outpatient dialysis treatments, including patient monitoring, hemodialysis setup, and ongoing assessment
- Monitor vital signs, fluid balance, and treatment parameters; identify and respond to dialysis-related complications promptly
- Administer prescribed medications and manage vascular access care in accordance with protocols
- Document care and treatment data in EPIC EMR, ensuring accuracy and timely charting; maintain compliance with unit policies and safety standards
- Educate patients on dialysis processes, treatment plans, and post-dialysis care; collaborate with nephrology and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Coordinate with unit staff to ensure smooth patient flow, handoffs, and adherence to schedules; float to designated locations as needed
Requirements
- Active Vermont Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification (AHA)
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; minimum 1 year of outpatient dialysis experience
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Ability to work 8/9/10/12-hour shifts as needed; ability to float to St. Albans and Berlin
- Reliable transportation; no dependence on public transit for commuting
