Travel Radiology Echo Tech Job
Echo Technologist, Radiology | Hilo, Hawaii, United States. Start date 06/22/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $2,246–$2,428 per week. Guaranteed hours 0. Shift: Rotating. Travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. Epic EMR is in use; EMR experience is essential. This role requires active RDCS certification with BLS approval, and ARDMS or CCI certifications are also acceptable. Pediatric experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
- Perform adult transthoracic echocardiography (2D-Mode, Doppler CW & PW, color flow mapping) and comprehensive valvular, cardiomyopathy, congenital, and pericardial assessments, including detection of effusions
- Conduct 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) as required by protocol
- Optimize image quality, operate Canon i700 and i900 equipment, and ensure accurate documentation of findings
- Enter results and preliminary interpretations into the EMR (Epic) and communicate urgent findings to the medical team
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during imaging, assist with patient positioning and monitoring
- May float to other departments as needed per department needs and shift coverage
- Ensure compliance with charting, safety, and infection control policies; participate in continuing education as required
Requirements
- Certification: RDCS (preferred) with active AHA BLS; ARDMS or CCI certifications accepted
- Experience: minimum 3 years in an acute hospital setting
- Expertise: proficient in adult echocardiography including 2D, Doppler (CW/PW), valvular disease studies, color flow mapping, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, effusions; 2D & 3D TEEs; hypertensive heart disease studies
- EMR: experience with Epic EMR required
- Scheduling: ability to work rotating shifts with on-call responsibilities and potential cross-department floating
- Location: must be able to work in the listed location and meet assignment requirements
