CVOR Tech | Cardiovascular Operating Room | Pocatello, Idaho | Start May 18, 2026 | Duration several weeks | $1,722-$1,815 per week | Guaranteed hours: 0 per week | Shift: 5x8-hour days | Travel - temporary assignment in an acute care setting.
In this CVOR role, you’ll support complex cardiac and vascular cases in a block schedule with day shifts and a call obligation. The position requires EVAR, CABG, valve procedures, TAVR, VAD support, and other high-acuity cases in an accompanying team environment. Local travelers are not accepted; a minimum distance of 100 miles from the assignment site is required.

- Unit/setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room on a 160-bed, acute care setting
- Onsite orientation modules: RN modules 4–6 hours; Allied modules 2–3 hours
- Call: 25–33% of the time
Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative support for CVOR cases including CABG, valve surgery (AVR/MVR), TAVR, EVAR/AAA repairs, Type A dissection, and VAD management.
- Maintain aseptic technique, manage specimen handling, and observe universal protocol, radiation safety, sharps safety, and fire safety.
- Assist with instrument handling, patient positioning, suction/irrigation, hemostasis, and routine intraoperative tasks in a high-acuity cardiovascular environment.
- Document care in the Epic charting system and support accurate intraoperative communication among the surgical team, anesthesia, perfusion, and scrub staff.
- Participate in timeouts and safety checks; help ensure OR readiness, turnover, and adherence to unit protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient safety and workflow; respond to call duties per schedule.
Requirements
- Certifications: BLS and NBSTSA required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year CVOR experience; travel experience not required with 2 years of CVOR experience
- Charting: Epic experience required
- Distance requirement: Locals not accepted; traveler must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
- Orientation: Onsite orientation modules required prior to assignment (RN modules ~4–6 hours; Allied modules ~2–3 hours)
- Scheduling: Block shift pattern; ability to work in a high-volume CVOR environment
- Pre-approved time off: 2 days requested, subject to facility policy
