Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for telemetry patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor telemetry equipment and patient status; respond promptly to changes in conditions.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; document findings accurately in the medical record.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to optimize patient outcomes; use critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Maintain patient safety and quality of care by adhering to policies, procedures, and infection control practices.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Telemetry nursing experience or strong acute care background preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital setting
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation
- Demonstrated teamwork and ability to coordinate care across disciplines
