Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient status, implement and adjust care plans, administer medications and treatments per protocol, and document outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, social workers, and other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to ensure patient safety and quality care.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to support symptom management, education, and care transitions.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Experience or demonstrated exposure to ICU/critical care environments is aligned with this specialty
- Ability to perform nursing duties in a home healthcare - hospice setting
- Willingness to work a 3x12-hour shift pattern and travel as assigned
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
