Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for a group of patients during the designated shift, accountable for outcomes.
- Prescribe and implement nursing care based on the nursing process, aligned with the medical plan of care and input from patients and significant others.
- Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate delivery of patient care across age groups as assigned.
- Incorporate teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care for patients and families.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice.
- Deliver care to patients across the age spectrum (neonatal to geriatric) as dictated by the assigned unit.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (registered professional nurse)
- Ability to work in a hospital PACU setting and manage care for patients across age groups
- Availability to work a 4x10 rotating shift
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment in the listed location
- Demonstrated collaboration with physicians and the health care team to coordinate patient care
