Registered Nurse – PCU travel assignment in Olathe, Kansas. Start date 07/05/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,078–$2,142 per week with no guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This assignment requires KS RN or Compact RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHF; 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience, plus experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing own labs.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult PCU patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage devices such as BiPAP, chest tubes, and PICC lines; draw own labs when needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; call on own consults and participate in codes as needed.
- Float to ICU and other inpatient units (Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, ED) per unit needs and level of experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EPIC EMR and support unit-based quality initiatives.
- Participate in orientation and ongoing competencies as part of the assignment requirements, with emphasis on patient safety and evidence-based practice.
- Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 experience with pacer wires is preferred; demonstrate strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or a Compact state; BLS, ACLS, and NIHF certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience
- Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing own labs
- Comfortable functioning without a vascular access team; ability to call on own consults and perform codes
- Ability to float to ICU and multiple inpatient units as required
- Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 experience with pacer wires is preferred
