Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging studies across chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, and spine per orders; ensure proper patient positioning and immobilization.
- Administer iodinated contrast via venipuncture and manage injections; monitor patients for adverse reactions and document findings in the EMR.
- Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment, follow unit protocols, and ensure image quality and dose optimization; document procedures in the EMR.
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and patient safety standards; participate in QA/QC activities as required.
- Collaborate with radiologists and the care team; respond to call or holiday schedules as assigned; complete all required documentation in EPIC.
- Provide patient care support during imaging, including comfort measures and clear explanations of procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT CT certification (required)
- NYS license to practice radiologic technology (or proof of application with applied date) to be provided in packet at submission
- NYS DOH venipuncture certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of CT clinical experience
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Preferred: NY injection certification; CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and to participate in unit rotation and scheduling as scheduled
