Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-level critical care nursing for ICU patients, including monitoring, assessment, and ongoing interventions
- Serve as the day-shift nurse lead, coordinating care and supervising other members of the clinical team
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders, including vasoactive drugs and advanced critical care treatments
- Manage ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response to clinical changes
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other specialists to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record; ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC required
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Experience: Five years of ICU/technical experience strongly preferred; supervisor experience required
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity ICU environment and to assume leadership responsibilities on the shift
- Travel eligibility for a 13-week assignment and ability to meet shift requirements
