Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult patients in behavioral health and psychiatric care settings; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications per orders, monitor for effectiveness and adverse effects, and manage acute changes in patient condition.
- Conduct mental status assessments, risk assessments, and crisis intervention as needed; respond to emergencies following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (physicians, therapists, social workers) to coordinate care, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with privacy, safety, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Nebraska RN license (unrestricted)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN)
- Experience in adult inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric care is preferred
- Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health/substance use treatment settings
- Eligible for travel assignment and available to begin on or before 07/30/2026
