Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Hanford, California, United States
Travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC
Start date: 10/12/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Weekly pay: $2,472–$2,668 per week
Guaranteed hours: 36
Shift: 5x8 Days (8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for patients in the OR, following established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned nursing staff, collaborating with the surgical team and other disciplines.
- Collect relevant data, analyze findings, develop and implement an evidence-based perioperative plan, and evaluate outcomes.
- Prepare the OR environment, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties among the care team.
- Document care precisely in the patient record (including EPIC if applicable) and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- BSN: Preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of recent acute care field experience; OR experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS (AHA or ARC) required; ASC/CPR policy compliance as applicable.
- EPIC experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room setting and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
