Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, Gardner, MA, United States. This 13-week travel assignment starts on 08/10/2026 and uses a 3x12-hour night shift schedule. Responsibilities
- Assess and reassess patient conditions, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to meet patient goals.
- Deliver patient care in line with standards of care, standards of practice, protocols, and policies; preserve patient dignity and promote positive self-regard.
- Provide patient and family education tailored to identified learning needs, readiness, and barriers; involve family in discharge planning and resource coordination.
- Prioritize care, delegate appropriately, supervise nursing interventions, and escalate to appropriate resources or emergencies as needed.
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of data, interventions, and patient responses; communicate findings to the care team to ensure continuity.
- Manage complex clinical situations in the ER, including pain assessment and relief, triage, airway/ventilation support, and monitoring for stability; participate in disaster and safety protocols as required.
Requirements
- Education: AS in nursing required; BS in nursing preferred
- Licenses: Current MA RN license
- Certifications: ACLS upon hire or active BLS with ACLS to be obtained within 60 days of hire; PALS within 6 months; TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred
- Experience: 3–5 years ED experience preferred
- Additional: Ability to work in a high-acuity ER environment and to perform duties consistent with an RN in an emergency setting
