Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health / Psychiatric, traveling assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks. 12-hour shifts in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range: $1,702–$1,741 per week.

Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history
- Plan and provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including monitoring and documenting responses to treatment
- Make nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options
- Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff to design appropriate treatment plans
- Administer and monitor reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications; adjust care as directed
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients; assist with crisis intervention as needed
- Document all patient information on medical charts, follow physician orders, and maintain confidentiality
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, answering phones, typing, and completing progress notes in the electronic medical record system
Requirements
- Active New York RN license (License must be NY-registered)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry competency or experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience in behavioral health/psychiatric care
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule (days/evenings/nights)
- Willingness to work in a hospital setting in Rochester, NY
