Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for an assigned patient group using established standards and the nursing process.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status; develop and adjust care plans; coordinate with the care team to achieve outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor for adverse effects, and intervene as needed within established protocols.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of various levels of nursing staff; delegate tasks and ensure safe, quality care delivery.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams; provide education and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Document care and plan of care in the electronic medical record (EPIC); ensure accuracy and timeliness of information.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (Oregon)
- BLS (American Heart Association or ARC) certification required
- At least two years of recent acute care or med/surg nursing experience
- EPIC EMR experience is required
- BSN degree preferred
- Ability to work night shift in a demanding, fast-paced acute care setting
