Responsibilities
- Provide circulating nurse coverage in the operating room, assisting the surgeon and core team during procedures
- Maintain sterile technique, manage instrument counts, and ensure all equipment is ready for use
- Anticipate needs of the OR team, assist with positioning, suctioning, and documentation of intraoperative events
- Support scrub roles when needed and coordinate room turnover between cases
- Monitor patient status and assist anesthesia as appropriate within scope of practice
- Communicate clearly with the perioperative team to promote patient safety and efficient flow
Requirements
- OR circulating experience: 2+ years
- Scrub experience strongly preferred
- CNOR preferred; BLS required
- CST National Certification (Must Have)
- Ambulatory case experience preferred
- Schedule requirements: 10-hour shifts; day shifts; start times may be 6:30a, 9:00a, or 11:00a depending on department needs
- No weekends, no major holidays, no on-call required
