Responsibilities
- Independently manage implanted cardiac rhythm management devices (pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, implanted loop recorders) in an outpatient clinic
- Perform device interrogation, testing, programming, and troubleshooting per physician orders
- Maintain EPIC documentation for device events, patient visits, and follow-up scheduling
- Monitor patient rhythm and device performance; respond to device-related alarms and issues
- Collaborate with the electrophysiology and cardiology teams; communicate patient status and device findings
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, adhere to infection control standards, and provide patient education on device care and follow-up
Requirements
- Certifications: BLS; Pacemaker/ICD Technician program or equivalent job experience
- Experience: EPIC EMR experience within the last 2 years; knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiac devices, and cardiovascular physiology
- Education: Pacemaker/ICD Technician program or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in an outpatient clinic environment and manage CRM devices; reliable transportation for travel assignment
