Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor vitals and critical parameters, administer medications per orders, and document responses.
- Collaborate with physicians, support staff, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels, providing guidance and ensuring continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation, ensure patient safety, and participate in care planning and rounds.
- Respond to emergencies, support code activities, and utilize clinical judgment to escalate issues as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of California (per assignment location)
- ICU/critical care nursing experience or recent exposure in an acute care setting
- Ability to work 4x12-hour day shifts totaling 48 hours per week
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams
