Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Pulmonary (Travel Assignment) in Cumming, Georgia. Start date: 06/08/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights, typically 7pm–7am, 3 nights per week. Work setting: hospital-based acute pulmonary/med-surg unit with telemetry. Note: No local candidates within 50 miles.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients on a pulmonary/med-surg unit with telemetry.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications and respiratory therapies, and monitor patient responses.
- Manage telemetry data, oxygen delivery, and related equipment; assist with procedures as needed.
- Document care and patient progress in the Cerner electronic health record; ensure accurate handoffs during shift change.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team to optimize patient outcomes; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an acute care or med-surg/pulmonary setting.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Cerner experience preferred.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am) on a 3-night-per-week schedule.
- Active RN license; Georgia licensure or eligibility preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (associate degree, diploma, or bachelor’s degree in nursing).
