Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
- Monitor residents’ health status, observe for changes, and report promptly to the nursing team.
- Provide routine nursing care and support with activities of daily living as appropriate.
- Document care provided and update resident charts and care plans accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with RNs, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and quality-of-care standards in daily practice.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license to practice in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain it.
- Experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts and participate in a travel assignment.
- Effective communication and documentation skills; detail-oriented and reliable in following care plans.
- Demonstrated teamwork and ability to collaborate with diverse healthcare staff.
