Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
RN - Radiation Oncology - Day Shift in Zanesville, OH. This travel Registered Nurse role focuses on radiation oncology patient care in an outpatient oncology care setting. The assignment begins 04/20/2026 and runs for 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and a day shift ( typically 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.). Weekly pay ranges from $2,171 to $2,243. Responsibilities
- Provide and/or supervise nursing care for patients receiving radiation therapy, ensuring comfort, safety, and symptom management.
- Plan, implement, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team; update care plans and monitor response to treatment.
- Administer medications, monitor for adverse effects, and escalate clinical changes according to protocols.
- Adhere to infection control policies and universal precautions; maintain equipment readiness and accurate documentation in the patient record.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members; educate patients on treatment expectations, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with radiation oncologists, dosimetry staff, and other care team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Current RN license in Ohio or eligibility to obtain licensure in Ohio.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ASN/ADN or BSN acceptable).
- Oncology nursing experience preferred; related medical-surgical experience considered.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outpatient oncology care setting and to follow standard safety and infection control practices.
