Travel Registered Nurse LTC Job
Registered Nurse (LTC) - Lewiston, Maine, United States. Travel - temporary assignment starting 05/26/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,856-$2,010. No guaranteed hours. Night shift (3x12) 7:00 PM–7:30 AM in a hospital setting with multiple units including Alzheimer's/dementia care, transitional rehabilitation, and long-term care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents on units serving Alzheimer's/dementia, transitional rehabilitation, and long-term care populations.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including IV therapy and wound care, following care plans and facility protocols.
- Monitor resident status, perform accurate assessments, document vitals and changes, and escalate concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans; ensure accurate charting and communication across shifts.
- Support activities of daily living, promote a safe, therapeutic environment, and utilize appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication techniques with residents who have dementia.
- Be flexible to float to other units as needed to meet staffing requirements and provide continuity of care.
Requirements
- License: Valid State of Maine RN license or compact RN license
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience: 1-3 years of RN experience preferred
- Certifications/Skills: Medical terminology preferred; strong teamwork and communication skills
- Additional: Ability to work night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and float to other units as needed; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
- Note: Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered

- Scheduling policy: The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract
