Travel Occupational Therapist Job
Occupational Therapist – Acute Care, in Cumming, Georgia. This travel assignment begins 05/18/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,212 to $2,367 per week, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is 8-hour day shifts (8x5) with a typical schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., four weekends per four weeks, and holiday coverage. The role operates in an inpatient acute care setting, supporting a broad spectrum of medical and surgical diagnoses from ICU to stroke, orthopedics, and general debility.

Responsibilities
- Perform OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for acute care inpatients
- Provide evidence-based OT interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, cognition, and functional independence
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapy, speech therapy, and social work to support comprehensive discharge planning
- Document assessments, treatments, goals, and progress in the Cerner charting system; ensure timely progress notes
- Monitor patient progress, adjust goals as needed, and support safe transfers, bed mobility, and equipment use
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and post-discharge expectations
Requirements
- Active Georgia OT license
- AHA BLS certification
- 15–18 months of recent OT experience in an acute care specialty
- Experience with Cerner One Chart charting system
- Ability to work 8-hour day shifts in an inpatient acute care setting; travel assignment; 40 hours per week
- Comfort caring for a wide range of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, stroke, orthopedics, and general debility
