Responsibilities
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Documents nursing care in the medical record per policy and ensures accurate, timely updates.
- Participates in the planning and evaluation of patient care plans within the scope of the nursing process.
- Maintains patient safety and infection control standards and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted RN license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts in a high-acuity, labor and delivery setting
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment in Glendale, CA
- Strong critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills
- Knowledge of standards of care and the nursing process; ability to coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
