Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Hanford, CA. Start date: 08/17/2026. Travel - temporary assignment for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,444–$2,551 per week. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to obstetric patients and newborns using the nursing process and established standards of care.
- Monitor labor progress, fetal status, administer medications, and respond to obstetric emergencies with clinical judgment and timely intervention.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team; supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff.
- Document care and outcomes in the electronic medical record; participate in discharge planning and patient/family education.
- Collaborate with the care team to maintain a safe, healing environment; uphold infection control and safety protocols.
- Provide education to patients and families and support team learning through shifts and handoffs.

Requirements
- Current RN license in California (state of practice) is required.
- BSN is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in obstetric or acute care settings.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NRP certifications required (per policy).
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS and AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certifications required.
- EPIC and Cerner EMR experience is preferred/strongly recommended; prior backfill experience with EPIC is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced obstetric/acute care environment and to participate in a 24/7 hospital setting.
