Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Florence, Alabama. This travel assignment is a 13-week contract starting 05/11/2026 in a skilled nursing setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy services to residents per established plans of care
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and document progress regularly
- Reassess residents and modify interventions to meet evolving goals
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes
- Ensure safety during therapy sessions and maintain accurate, compliant records
- Communicate pertinent changes in resident status to the care team and families as appropriate
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure (or eligibility) to practice in Alabama
- Graduation from an ACOTE-accredited OTA program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Willingness to adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards
